More on the upgrade of Yahoo! Mail storage… it's, um, not really here yet. At least, not for everybody. Certainly not in my account. And mainstream ink is starting to complain, both about Yahoo! and Hotmail phantom upgrades.
Yahoo! (and Hotmail) Slow to Deliver E-mail Storage
Reader Comments
(Page 1)2. I am accessing Yahoo Mail and Groups from Bangalore. 9 times out of 10, the page is not loading especially when the content is user generated as in mails, postings, etc. I can see that there is some error being thrown up as the little IE icon on the bottom left of the browser changes to show an error icon.
Any help is welcome.

4. Ever since the "upgrade" to the larger storage, I have experienced EXTREME slowing in opening Yahoo! Mail and anything connected to it! I used to love my yahoo mail, but I am thinking of changing! I waste too much time waiting for everything to open and change screens! I am accessing from Tucson, AZ. How do you put in a complaint to Yahoo anyway?

6. Why is the Yahoo mail site slow today (2-11-2005)? All other sites are quick and normal. I have a high speed connection and MS ME OS.
What is the solution? I have used Yahoo mail for years and never a problem.

8. I am actually facing a big problem with my e-mail account. I can say that I am very frustrated right now. For the past week I have been facing extremely, extremely slowness whenever I am about to enter into my inbox. It's not only that, to open, to delete and even to move my mails from the inbox folder to another folder is way way too long. Are the yahoo people doing anything after receiving so much complained from it's users. Probably the yahoo people has to do it fast or else the users might switch to others.... Please rectify the problems asap as we need the system fast!!!!!!

13. Computer--iMac---browser-Safari-broadband connection
Yahoo problems
Minor problem. sometimes Yahoo becomes glacial -opening,closing etc It's especially maddening seeing I have broadband. I then run"cocktail which a friend recommended." and It's like I have a new machine.
Major problem
This past month I developed a major problem with Yahoo.
Once or twice a day Yahoo asks me to re-sign in. I do. I then get a flashing screen, alternates between two pages, and Yahoo is now locked up. I then have to restart the computer. When that is done I have to re-sign in and everything is fine for 8,12, 24 hours. Note: my clock is correct and the computer is open to cookies from websites I deal with.
does anybody know how I can fix this? Thanks

15. PROBLEMS WITH SLOW HOTMAIL ACCESS FROM MESSENGER? -____________________________________________
ok so your hotmail is extremely slow when loading from msn messenger, and you cant open your hotmail box without a 20 minute wait, or it not openning at all! Or after waiting 20 minutes to get in, now you cant send an email without another 20 minute jam!! Sound familiar? Its a heavy java f**k up that correlates erraticaly with MSN messenger in internet explorer 6.0 ..Turn java off and you'll make into your hotmail-box through msn messenger within 2 seconds! BUT! guess what? you wont be able to click send! just awful aint it?! internet explorer is a piece of total junk , not only is it buggy, it gets killed by any kind of wimpy virus, hackware, or spam thrown at it. it just inhales any junk in its vicinity! Its simply the lamest browser available, and microsoft isent even entertaining the idea of making explorer a stable B.S free browser!
i might not have fixed your problem, but hey at least you know its a java problem, most people dont even know wtf yet! ;-)

16. I do experience the same problem as mentioned above since about four weeks now. All the pages are opening fine (I am on IO broadband) untill I go to Yahoo-mail. Basically the smallest e-mails or even opening the mailfolder get's timed-out, reloading the page does in most of the cases not help. Any time soon this get's fixed

18. I stopped using my yahoo mail account because of extremely slow response time ! I used to use it with Outlook (POP / SMTP)... but it now times out every time I try to send a mail ! With the yahoo manual interface, I need to wait several minutes to get the thumbnailed attached pictures to show. Well, I think my mailbox will reach its maximum xxMb because I cannot read it any more...
