As Yahoo! gradually moves into the unfamiliar realm of original content, one of the quiet but startling recent moves is the hiring of several financial book writers as columnists for Yahoo! Finance. the finance portion of Yahoo! is impressive but impersonal, a masterful aggregation of information culled from outside institutional sources. Indeed, Yahoo! stayed away from journalists in its recent acquisitions, not wishing to offend its syndication partners. Nine authors have been signed, including Charles Wheelan ("Naked Economics") and Robert Kiyosaki ("Rich Dad Poor Dad").
