As geeks, is there any smell better than 'New Beta Application'? Especially when you can layer them together
into a fragrance that beguiles the mind...Unless, of course, those betas conflict and everything breaks.
Yesterday saw the release of IE7 Beta 2 - Microsoft's latest attempt to wean us back from Firefox. As an avid tester, I just had to have it - only to find that my beloved Y! Mail Beta no longer worked due to the User Agent strings being presented. On the Y! Mail Group, a couple of other like minded souls expressed similar dismay at the lack of support from the Y! developers.
Not to worry, as ever the Web comes to the rescue. This site will not only display your current User Agent strings, at the bottom it provides Registry (.reg) files you can import that will let IE impersonate different versions. The last one that sets up IE6 SP2 works great - be sure to restart all your IE sessions after applying the changes.

1. Last week, I was invited to try the new version of Yahoo!Mail beta, however I can not change to the new version sucessful. It's said that my browser is not supported for the new version of Yahoo!Mail although that the browser required is IE6 SP2; and my browser is IE7 beta. Could anyone tell me what's happended? And how to solve that issue? Thanks.
