1. Personally, I hope they drop Yahoo! Photo in the future and replace it with Flickr service. I feel Flickr offers much better features and ease of use. I cannot even remember the last time I used Y! Photos...

How about Firefox support for LaunchCast? I listened to it all the time on my Windows system. I still listen to it at work. I now use Linux with FireFox and am looking for support. Will anyone answer?

2. Y! Photos and Flickr provide different, but complementary services. This is especially true when you look at them and their integration with Yahoo! 360.

Y! Photos uses the Album metaphor, and each Album can be tied to the 360 security model to restrict who can see what pictures.

Flickr is based on the idea that pictures are public - and should be presented in the Photostream. 360 lets you bring that stream in directly to your page.

Flickr Photosets are similar to Y! Photo albums, but the security is not as sophisticated, and you need a Pro account to open several.

That's not to say that this will change in the future, but for now there is a need for both services.

3. Hi, I'm the developer who writes the upload tools for Photos. We released the Firefox one a little while back without too much publicity, but its very nice to see it getting noticed.

Chris's post is pretty accurate, and Photos is certainly not being neglected.

4. I am using Firefox 1.5.0.1 and am having no luck installing the extension for Yahoo Photo at all. Perhaps someone could direct me to a support site that can assist me in finding out what is causing the extension not to load? I can also be reached at Daryl.Lindsey@wpafb.af.mil
