Microsoft is creating viral market interest with their slow trickle (it will take three weeks) announcement of the
"Origami Project." My spies have reported in and what
they've discovered shows Microsoft is continuing to lead the way towards tomorrow's technology today.
The
Origami Project is moving us away from flat screens, flat paper from printers, flat table tops and flat windows.
Instead they have discovered the ability to place all of the above into a multifaceted wad. My spies have found the thinly disquised product rollout website.
Leading with the
dramatic advertising campaign slogan, "YOU BUY WADDED PAPER NOW!!!!" the product line will start with rollout
of the state-of-the-art Origami Boulder for $10. Very appealing to Apple users will be the Haiku option which
costs a lot more, $15, but has a far greater sense of intrinsic value and "neener neener" potential than the
non-Haiku version.
To comply with well-learned anti-trust requirements, also included is the unbundled
essence of the product, Origami Boulder Performance Art Option (no product) for only $3.
Update: This is
all-but confirmed by Scoble's comments about
seeing the "wood" prototypes several months ago.

1. Looks like decent up-to-date Origami information here http://www.msorigamiforums.com
