3.0, this will come with a new drag-n-drop user interface (much like Y! Mail beta) combined with social networking
functions (read: friends), tags, photo sets (like Flickr) and dynamic smart albums
(based on rules you define on-the-fly).No word about how to get in to the beta group. Word is that it will be a closed beta with no invites to be given out by participants like we've seen in some other betas. Y! employees will get first shot at it and that has yet to happen.

1. I'm confused. Why is anyone still working on Yahoo! Photos after Yahoo! acquired Flickr. I thought the point of the purchase would be to combine the two, not perpetuate two different services that offer the same thing.
