1. It will not make much difference to people chatting because as far as I have seen most users chat through Yahoo messenger and mainly new users chat through their browser.

3. Messenger for the Mac has no chat features so now all mac users will have to use 3rd party software to use yahoo chat.

4. The only "official" Yahoo chat client for Mac is the Yahoo web site, via the Java chat applet. Messenger Mac doesn't have chat. IE for Mac doesn't work with the ActiveX version of chat.

So, Mac users will only be able to use third-party clients for Yahoo chat. Unless the long-rumored Yahoo Communicator for Mac is finally near.

Dropping YCHT protcol will now allow the hackers to have a heads up it will allow skilled coders to own and rule chat as there the gods now you are making a huge mistake the protocol that should go is YMSG and DHTML they are not stable and never have been everytime there updated more bugs are released and users screen names are owned i have teamed up with the best coders on the net and will be providing the web sites , space and dedicated hosts to make our own java based client to help keep our usual chatters secured and this far will make yahoo chat a very empty hell hole that yahoo wants it to bee and best of all will be free and i dont need advertisements to keep my network up i just need the love of my fellow chatters well you know how i feel i have said my peace............ I do feel it is a major missteak to do so with this ideal there is a large and i do say large amount of java uses that have been using java for ever, also to go along with your ideal, yahoo will be bocoted by myself along with many others that try to help where yahoo lacks the chance/or wont try to help out with the booting,cracking, and problems with ccounts if they intend to set every thing to non java then you will have much more booting, cracking and problems with yahoo names and i will more then willing post all 4 of the yahoo numbers on all site to asites anyone that has the problem since yahoo is taking it on there own instead of asking it's user's like many software dev's before and many software host have done in past auto loose of users, i mean look at BOLT! aka www.bolt.com same ideal they tryied, there users went from many to under 10,000 in one month time of going to non java based chat and messager! so i wilkl state again that this is a stupid ideal and like i also said i will post all info needed to fill up ever yahoo inc telephone line out there

8. Most of your older members still use the ycht protocol because its the most stable protocol out. By dropping it you will allow coders to rule the chat scene so you need to look into this before you drop that protocol.

9. I agree with many others about your choice to drop the YCHT protocol. I am a user who uses this protocol on a regular basis. In fact, I refuse to go into one of your chatrooms without it. In taking this away, you are taking away our safety and ability to chat without the constant worry of being hacked, cracked , booted, lagged and everything else all these people come up with on a daily basis to accomidate for their increasing boredom. Everyday Yahoo strives to be the best. And by taking away your chatters security you are definately achieving the opposite. Many of your customers are upset by the fact that you would take away one of the few things we have to protect ourselves. You can not guarentee that our names will not be taken...that we will not be booted...or hacked...but u can help us protect ourselves against those who lack the maturity to stop tearing apart other's computers just because they can. If you want so bad to be the number one messenger, then stop taking away the things that make it possible for us to use your chat program. Otherwise, people are not going to use a program which allows people to ruin their expensive equipment. You will lose alot of your customers and if you decide to take away YCHT protocol, then you deserve it. YCHT protocol is an important asset to to the use of Yahoo. Please Do Not Take Away YCHT Protocol!

10. Has anyone discovered what happens to the yahoo group chat rooms now? So far as I am aware it is not possible to open these rooms without the Java applet, so once the last person has left one would assume the room is gone for good? Having said this though I do have a couple of these rooms on my favourite chat room list in messenger, and although I thought they were having problems it seems this room MAY be permanently open now. Great! except for the bots which have now been able to access it :(

Shame on you Yahoo! Work on the real problems - the bots and the booters or I will take Yahoo! from my favourites list, and stop clicking on any Yahoo ads or services I see. In fact I shall forget that YAHOO! ever existed. Wipe your communities off the map and you shall reap the Whirlwind.

Attention April 20th @ 4:21 Am Est. , the hackers have begun to attack the yahoo servers as Henry has sent us reports of a Ddos attack against the yahoo join room feature a user has gone over the edge by the name of ZACK! the infamous pro at killing a server connection to deny a request of usage this is a faith in attempt to change yahoo's! mind as we the chatters take it we ask Yahoo! please bring us back our YCHT its only making chat get 100% worse we the people have spoken you hear us loud and clear give us what its rightfully ours and let us experience the yahoo that we once knew it as YCHT since 1997 gone 2006 how could this be what have we become since this day has gone to hell in a hand bag is it that we need to pay for our wrong doing's is that yahoo don't care or is it in the latest new that yahoo is going broke :O makes many of us wonder why Yahoo! has gone to a new building to cut down on cost to down size to piss us off we would like some insight , feed back , input , let us chatters know because the hackers and the booters sure are ...in the moral of this complaint user's that rightfully created there names fairly such as Space names , Symbol's , + accounts are now dead I think you just pissed allot off and yahoo! will never be the same again till we get back what we demand what are you going to take from us next besides our pride , well I have said ma Peace .... 13. I'm a mac user and am extremely disappointed in yahoo for making this ill-conceived change. My subscription to the webhosting plan is coming due and, because of this major change in chat programs, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

14. YAHOO is the number one website on the internet yet it seems to get worse and worse. Given all the money they have why cant they come up with a boot proof, hacker proof chat service ? Not only this, but when they fixed a 15 second mic time limit that ruined the chat. I use politics rooms and 15 seconds is not long enough to explain a complex political point and therefore people never get to finish what they are saying before being stepped on, its totally retarded. They should change the mic time limit to 45 seconds at least and make a boot proof service. Paltalk has a boot proof service but they have moderators which sucks.

16. There is nothing left of Yahoo. The chatrooms no longer work without the Java Script. You all are Morons! You just completely ruined Yahoo in a matter of seconds. Part of running a business is making your customers happy. Incase you haven't noticed. NO ONE IS HAPPY!! You have completely taking everything. Yahoo "USED TO BE" a place to come hangout and relax with friends, where you cold go into and room and meet new people and just laugh. Now It's NOTHING! I can't believe how you can claim you want ,to make a better Yahoo when all you have done is erase it. You're not even telling your users anything. We deserve to know what's really going on. All we have gotten is that you're no longer supporting Java-based chat software. I'm not sure what you were thinking. Incase you haven't noticed...that shut down Yahoo. You claimed after the change we could still access the chatrooms. Which is obvious that you were wrong. As soon as the last person leaves the room, the room is perminately closed! Your plan is failing horribly. It would be nice if you would listen to your customers. We are, after all, the ones who use it everyday. We are the ones that could give you ideas on how to make Yahoo safer and more enjoyable. We are the ones that make you what you are. Or WERE!
I am so unbelievably disappointed in how Yahoo is going about this. You all should have put alot more thought into this process. You should have thought about us. YOUR CUSTOMERS!! You were wrong in doing this without at least asking for our feedback on the matter. Our opinion counts! Without us, there is NO YAHOO! Remember that.

18. No thats not true... i have devloped messenger protocol bot too a long time ago and most of the spammers have this but right now its the matter of 70% chat users not only spammers. If Yahoo! will not have users what will spammers will **** about.

20. Yahoo! Chat still works just fine its the case of The Attack Of Zach the hacker LoL he has been hitting the server since 4:21 Am Est its now currently 1:02 Pm Est and the attacks still continue Henry is trying his best to stop the Ddos but once a smurf attack begins its up to the user to end the problem or up to yahoo to bring back Ycht and as far as bots there not gone they work fine ill be releasing a new Chat 2 Protocol bot that is alot better then YCHT seems that the YCHT protocol eats text from time to time as long as the program is cooded to not take in the unwanted protocol functions then the bot is just as safe as any other protocol out there thus far same as if it were to be SOCKS 5 MORON well I have said ma peace ....

moron bots still work as long as there not in YCHT protocol you may think your the only one who can program got news for ya all yahoo! protocol is simple to code ive been coding it since 1997
