I'm so excited - today is the kick-off of the World's biggest sporting event in Germany, and our favorite portal is charged with the official website of the FIFA World Cup.Yahoo! has done a stellar job of collapsing all the news and atmosphere of this month-long festival of the best football (soccer) you'll see.
You can customize the site to track your favorite team, track all the match scores and standings.
I'm looking forward to the Matchcast presentations of the Live Games, followed by the Video highlights that Yahoo! has secured for us.
If you're lucky enough to have a Nokia or SonyEricsson phone, you can get the beta of the Mobile Matchcast (I'd be really happy to see this on my new Samsung A900, so devs - get cracking on a port...) There's plenty of other ways to get updates to your phone as well from the Mobile section.

1. No Nokia or SonyEricsson phone but tickets for 2 games... ;-)
